If you're interested in more vegan-related news and updates, I've just refreshed the site for The Victoria Vegan - started in 2006, there's some neat history of veganism in Victoria!
All the blog posts are featured, and I'm working on adding back all the activism resources and will be building in a snazzy Vegan Guide to Victoria as well, it should start to appear in the next week or so. Find (and bookmark) the site here:

Note that there's a newsletter there you can sign up for, as well as a Facebook page and group, and I've just started an Instagram account as well! (Phew!)
Aaaannndd...there's a 'Network' section on the site, so people can find other vegan groups and orgs. I met a few people involved with the UVic Vegan Club and Animal Law Club, if you could get back to me, I'd be happy to update that section your info. And if anyone else is interested in organizing anything, please let me know as well and I'll try and help get word out.
Finally, I've learned there's a new vegan potluck series starting up, it's also listed on the front page of the site for those who may be interested.
