Hey everyone!
Just a quick announcement, for those who may have missed this buried in the last update - I'll be hosting a crit racing clinic/workshop this Saturday.
It's intended for beginners, but I'll be unloading a couple decades of accumulated racing knowledge and experience, and even seasoned racers will likely pick up a few new tricks, with ample opportunities for Q&As.
About half the total spots are claimed, but there's still space for 10 more peeps - hit reply and let me know if you'd like to sign up!
We'll be meeting at 10am on Saturday at the Switch Bridge, and cruising towards Gordan Head to a spot where we'll hang out and go over the practical topics, tips and more. We've also got a little loop where we'll be practicing some of those techniques. Things should wrap up around noon, and it's $20, all are welcome, even if you're not planning to race, but want to learn some cool new bike skills. Invite a friend as well!
(The original idea when planning this last fall was to use the Royal Bay crit course for this, but due to new permit requirements and costs, it's impractical to book a full course...but we've got a good backup plan!)
Feel free to send over any questions as well, if the date doesn't work but this is something you'd be keen to attend another time, let me know as well.
Thanks for your attention, safe and speedy riding! 🚲
