Important Note: Dave isn’t actively coaching at this time, other than the occasional clinic and consulting, but if his coaching style resonates with you, do reach out and we can figure something out!

 


If you’re looking for long-term support in your activity, this is the spot! Below are general outlines for coaching plans, with lots of room for customization for individual requirements and interests, don’t hesitate to ask!

Casual Rider Plan - $50/month

This plan is perfect for those looking for a flexible program with just a bit of added structure. This plan includes:

  • A one hour initial consult (phone or video), to determine interests and goals, and begin a foundational program
  • Includes two assigned workouts per week to help achieve goals
  • A quick review every 2 weeks on workouts
  • After the first month, a 20 minute follow-up consult each month
  • Full access to About The Ride Coaching online resources, including our Teams community & channels, and discounted rates to events, clinics and other activities where optional.

Frequent Rider Plan - $100/month

This plan is more advanced than the Casual, with similar elements, for those looking for more structured training and wishing to progress more quickly or racing. This plan includes:

  • A one hour initial consult (phone or video), to determine interests and goals, and begin a foundational program
  • Includes up to four assigned workouts per week to help achieve goals (depending on how much time is available for workouts!)
  • A quick review every week on workouts to determine progress and identify some shortcomings
  • After the first month, a 20 minute follow-up consult each month
  • Full access to About The Ride Coaching online resources, including our Teams community, and discounted rates to events, clinics and other activities where optional.

Dedicated Rider Plan - $200/month

This plan is much more advanced, and is geared towards the serious rider looking for more analysis on workouts, and wishing to compete at higher levels. This plan includes:

  • A one hour (or more) initial consult (phone or video), to determine interests and goals, and begin a foundational program
  • Includes up to five assigned workouts per week with the goal to smash all targets
  • A quick review every week on workouts to determine progress and identify shortcomings, and detailed analysis on one workout every week
  • After the first month, a 60 minute follow-up consult each month
  • Full access to About The Ride Coaching online resources, including our Teams community, and discounted rates to events, clinics and other activities where optional.

Hero Rider Plan - $500/month

This plan offers a lot more one-on-one coaching with more communication, also offering much more analysis on workouts, competitions and is for those competing at higher levels or looking to maximize their workouts or potential. This plan includes:

  • A one hour (or more) initial consult (phone or video), to determine interests and goals, and begin a foundational program
  • Includes up to five assigned workouts per week to smash all targets, weaknesses will become strengths, and strengths will be feared by local competitors! (Disclaimer: results may vary!)
  • Significantly more feedback and detailed reviews on key workouts every week to determine progress and identify shortcomings, in addition to weekly summaries
  • After the first month, a 60 minute follow-up consult each month
  • Full access to About The Ride Coaching online resources, including our Teams community, and discounted rates to events, clinics and other activities where optional.

Discipline-Specific Skills Training

Each cycling discipline has it’s own special set of skills – road racing requires comfort in a bunch, solid climbing and descending skills. Crit riders also need to corner exceptionally well. Cyclocross races can be won by riders with slow dismount and remounting skills, but more often than not you’re more likely to lose places if these aren’t refined and mastered, giving your opponents an edge. Ask about working in skills into your training program!

Nutritional Overview

Let’s take a look at what you’re eating on a daily basis, and ensure you’re hitting those macros as well as try and identify any nutritional deficiencies.
