DETAILS FOR THE 2022 SAVE-A-TURKEY TROT: SATURDAY, OCTOBER 8th!
Join us for a fun 5k run/trot/stroll beginning and ending at Clover Point along the waterfront to promote a peaceful, animal-friendly Thanksgiving and fundraise with all funds going to A Home for Hooves Farm Sanctuary near Duncan! We raised $350 last year, let’s try and hit $500 this year!

You can do your activity wherever you are, and included will be instructions to send proof of your activity (Strava, MapMyRun, Garmin Connect, etc) before the end of Saturday, October 8th to be entered to win some of the online prizes as well!

This is our 7th Annual Save-A-Turkey Trot, which have been happening (when possible) in Victoria since 2010! Here’s a blog post on the previous edition in 2018! Started by OrganicAthlete in California, the Victoria chapter of OrganicAthlete organized the previous five editions. Unfortunately OrganicAthlete has folded as an organization, after over a decade of promoting veganism through sport, a few of us are working to start up a similar initiative through VeganStart, see below!
