Group Rides in and around Greater Victoria!

What’s a cycling resource site without a list of local group rides?
Below is a list of local, open group rides, whether they’re drop-in or sign-up will vary (check their links), and I’ve tried to include some concise details to help you choose which might be best for you! Of course we all can’t live in a cave, and there are other ‘private’ group rides around as well, but if you’re new to Victoria or cycling in general, this is a good place to start!

- The Last Ride has interesting group rides every month or two, organized by Rob Britton
- There’s also a Victoria Group Rides Facebook group, it looks to be more casual paced, but worth mentioning!

- Table is sorted by ‘days’, basically Mon – Sun, but you can sort the table by any field.
- “Membership” means membership to the organization, and “License” refers to some level of CyclingBC license, similar to what’s required in many racing events
Note that Tripleshot is a very large club (I believe the largest in BC with well over 300 members), and has a ride range of ride levels and types of rides, but most are early in the morning, starting as early as 5am. There are a handful of later rides as well, you can often find me on the Thursday “Vit D” gravel ride at 10am.
Some group rides are also seasonal, we’ve added a note when this is the issue.
It’s worth highlighting there are a couple advocacy organizations as well! Check out the Capital Bike Society (formerly the Greater Victoria Cycling Coalition and I believe Bike To Work Society, who merged), who advocates for cycling in general, and SIMBS listed above, who advocates for mountain bike trails in the CRD.
