After a year off, the Save-A-Turkey Trot was back for its 7th edition on October 8th! It’s a fun 5km walk/run held at Clover Point, and the last two have been fundraisers for the fantastic Home For Hooves Farm Sanctuary. In 2020 we had nearly 30 participants, with a handful that were ‘virtual’, and participating in other locations, not able to make the event in person. This year we have over 40 total participants, including 15 virtual! Most were from Vancouver Island, but we also had some trotters from the mainland and as far as Calgary. We’re so happy to have so many from various areas join us!

Our goal was to try and raise over $500, in 2020 we raised $350, but thanks to this year’s participants we brought in $955!! Way to go trotters!! All this will be going straight to H4H to help out their turkey residents.

We also had a ton of great prizing this year, for both our local and remote runners, and a big shout out to Nice Shoes, Frickin’ Delight Donuts, Vegan Supply, Meet on Blanshard, Green Cuisine, Level Ground, Virtuous Pie Victoria, Ash Refillery, Fern Cafe, Pure Lovin’ Chocolate, Yates Coffee Bar and Lush Victoria for contributing to our event!
